Village Chak Jafar, from where my ancestors migrated to
Pakistan, in 1947, is now tehsil in held Jammu.
Village Chak Jafar was named after the name of my grand
grand father, Chaudhry Jafar Khan.
My grandfather Chaudhry Abdullah Khan remained Member
of Legislative Assembly, Jammu and Kashmir, before the
partition. He was instrumental in asking the government to
increase budget on education and in constructing schools
in his constituency. He himself used to run Madrasas and
schools in his village.
